And left the field looking somewhat chaotic.

I got a good laugh from them too. It was sure odd to see all of the horns and other band instruments spread out over the field, then to see the one with a notebook for a horn - it all struck me as good fun, and an interesting start to the school year.

Great series, especially 1 - 3.

Just goes to show that you should always:

a) carry your camera everywhere you go; and
b) keep your eyes open.

Now, if only I could practise what I preach :-)

Thanks - you are right about carrying your camera wherever you go - I never know when I'm going to see something interesting. I'm just surprised no one has remarked on the last picture - is it too busy? Does the guy with the notebook instead of a horn get lost? I thought it was funny, reminded me of a certain old movie, but maybe the picture doesn't work as well as I thought.

On the contrary, it's because there is so much there that it works so well. When I first looked I didn't notice the guy with the notebook straight away. It took me a second or two to notice him which I thought added to the photo rather than detracted.
