Since every DSLR Pentax presently has is superior to the Oly E-510 with its smaller 4/3 sensor already, I don't see what the issue is.
Small sensors with a high pixel count means high noise at higher than normal ISO. Tom |

If you don't currently use Pentax, then either the K100D or the K10D will be better than the Olympus and are available now. If you keep waiting for a new camera to arrive, then you will never buy anything. Darren |

It seems a bit odd to ask in the Pentax forum whether you should switch to Olympus. I don't know much about the Olympus cameras as they aren't my kind of camera, but from what I hear they have excellent ergonomics, their lenses are excellent, image quality is high, and the E-510 has stabilization and live preview. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Olympus to someone getting their first DSLR who wants something easy to use and probably wouldn't even know how to properly use the ISO settings. But if what you really want is a high performance, more professional camera, I would stick with Pentax.
