Hi everybody,

Due to the great wonderful fantastic magnificent summer weather we're having... we sometimes even reach and go above 20°C / 68°F , I had to change my playground to indoors.

So to keep the fun in it, I go outside, steal some flowers from the neighbors and try to photograph them use some backgrounds.

And here they are ...
(ps: first 3 with a kiron 105mm, last on with a sigma ex 100-300mm f4)
(pps: the original sizes on flickr are worth watching - just a personal opinion:roll: )

And a small one to finish, while explaining program shift to a starting c*n* user I messed up my own camera settings, ev -2 Just stupid, so didn't expect to have this result. Must try this next time again, and get a bit closer, and get a bit sharper, and ... . You all know the story.

Hope you enjoyed them, all comments are always welcome.

          Hi Ronny,

Well, I'm impressed! My personal favorite is #2 -- looks like blown glass on porcelain. . .

I shoot a lot of birds at -Ev comp -- -2 is usually saved for Egrets against a dark BG in direct sun, or generally dark colored birds with relatively small white areas, again in direct sun tho. . .

Seems like the Sig 100-300/4 has been spending a lot of time on your cam. . .:-)

Wonderful shot! The bird is really outstanding, something special. I can't decide if its my favorite or the second one. I still think I'd rather have your weather than the heat, humidity and scattered thunderstorms I've been experiencing this week.

I love the color in the flower images, they look like fine china!

          Thanks Scott,

That Sig has competition with the kiron105mm, but to be honest, yes it is almost permanently on the k20d when I go out.

          Thanks Harriet,

I really like the shot of the bird to, only... I had to crop and resize to a to low size for my own liking. So it's only usable for the web. Not that I print that much large sizes, must be the way that I'm wired.

I understand your point about the weather, but constant rain, and then some more doesn't help my mood. Just hope it changes soon.

Totally agree on the weather Ronny, we have much the same. ... All excellent shots, but #2 gets my vote, love that one. ... Jack.

Love them all, Ronny. But, #2 is just fantastic. I'm mesmerized by it's beauty.
