The colors are really nice. I also like the first one best.

Here a neat cross between a trick and a really lucky stroke of good fortune. Picture this...the candles were on the coffee table in my family room, which is actually downstairs in the basement. The windows are high up on the wall. Because of a couple of heavy snowfalls lately there's snow about halfway up the windows, especially in the family room which has the outside patio level with the bottom of the window. The snow isactually drifted outward, creating a bit of a cup shape in the snow.To get this shot I turned off all the lights in the room and the only light getting into the room was a bit of sunlight reflecting off the snow, shining directly into the room, through the heavy glass on the candleholders, creating the blue in the glass.
Sometimes it's the unplanned that creates the neatest things.... Cheers Brian |

Nice effect Brian! I own a starlight filter as well and use it occassionally (not recently however--thanks for reminding that I own one). I'm curious about the blue lights by the candles...what is it/how did you achieve that effect?

Hey Jay,
Just take at the post before yours. It's actually reflected snow from outside the window that was somehow 90 degrees from the candles and slightly above. Turned out well, though... I like it Try thefilters....they work great ! Cheers Brian |
