Considering where you are and what you're doing right now Crashman isn't really a good nickname – if there's anyone supersticious around. Peacekeeper sounds a lot better!
Can you give a few town or village names so we can follow you on the map? Kjell |

Guess it makes sense. I don't know anyone else who works for the UN, so I don't think I'll get confused. I envy you being able to see such interesting places.

I must say that the name has a far more positive connotation. Although wasn't the single action Colt 45 calibre revolver known as the Peacemaker (sorry couldn't resist). I think the name is appropriate and without any particular cultural reference.
Ira Makes me think, I will not likely own a 1976 Chevy Monza again, and it wasn't really a great car to begin with, perhaps... |

Well for security reasons I will restrict my location to "currently in Khartoum" which is dusty dusty dusty. Also, very very tight security, secret police, Sharia law etc etc, so not many photos coming out of this city from me.
You are not allowed to photograph government buildings, unfortunately you can't tell which buildings belong to the governemnt. The secret police have arrested UN police already and I don't feel like trying my luck. Very shortly will be in Southern Sudan, where is is dusty dusty dusty and oh, green, swampy, flat, mountainous and malaria infested. Sure you don't want to come and play, they eat monkeys down there? Robar, I just PM'd JimC and told asked. |

Regardless of the name, just be SAFE & Godspeed in your mission! That must be some rough territory!
Thanks for your service! Ron |

How do you get Internet access? Via satellite or do you just pop in to one of the100+ Internet cafés filling the streets?

Peace, stay safe and stay away from that Malaria. My brother has worked for many years in Africa and has Malaria which rears its ugly head every so often. From what he tells me, you don't want it!
