Here in Christchurch the Cheetahs have a daily afternoon run to get their food.
As it is a regular route I took a high vantage point with Pentax K10D, Tamron 70 -300 @ 300mm and Tamron 1.4 Teleconverter. As I was doubtful about the teleconverter coping with action on AF I pre-focussed on the main run area and then put camera on manual focus. Here are a couple of shots from a burst to follow action. Outstanding action shots, caught near the extremes of the gait. You know the capabilities of your equipment, and used it to the best advantage. Well done.

These are wonderful - you can feel the effort in the second one.
