Hi All,
Just about every Chicago skyline shot I've ever seen was taken from a pier or boat on Lake Michigan. I noticed this view from my mom's hospital room (she's recovering from hernia surgery, and doing fine)on the 7th floor late in the afternoon. This is from Arlington Hts., a suburb about 5 towns removed from the city limits, and about 30 miles NW of the downtown area on the horizon. K10, DA* 50-135/2.8, 1/25, f8, ISO 100, -0.3EV, cropped to 16:9, and extensively PP'd ![]() I thought it looked pretty cool, but it took some serious PP to duplicate the look. . . . Just thought it'd be nice to post something different. Scott |

Very nice! I love the colors of the woods contrasting with the urban skyline. It is interesting what kind of view you get from some hospitals - a few years ago my Mom was in the Summerlin Hospital for 4th of July. I got some fair shots of the Vegas Strip with fireworks going off the various casinos with the Sony. Sure wish I had had the Pentax that day.
