that's why you don't see out door cats there.. not sure where in Az you are in but it's certainly true in phoenix and tucson.

actually coyotes are making quite a come back here. i've see them in very populated areas here in dallas..

We live in Scottsdale, AZ in a populated area. There are 2 coyotes that have decided to live on the other side of our block fence. Needless to say, we are concerned about our dogs.

can they jump your brick fence???
i did quite a bit of work in scottsdale and had a house over in paradise valley in the late '90s.. |

The fence is 6'. I've been told they can jump it, but it appears the food supply is easier to get then risking to jump the fence.

Good catch - I see that every so often, but haven't yet managed to take a picture. Once I was taking macro pictures, had the camera around my neck when a coyote went through my neighbor's yard, not more than 20-30 feet from me. Did I put the camera to my eye? No -I was too busy wondering if he had a cat or a racoon...
