They are getting quite populous here in the St. Louis area as well! I had 5 or 6 of them carrying on last Sunday nite about 100 yards from my house out in a field & 2 weeks ago I saw one running along I-70 about 1 mile NW of downtown St. Louis. Ed is right, they have to eat, too & as long as we keep building homes in their hunting grounds, they will keep eating cats, small dogs & such...just the natural circle of life. The problem is nobody is allowed to take a shot or 2 at them to let them know that they aren't welcome.
