Those are really great DF pics Harriet. The DOF field is great, getting that much of the wings in sharp focus has thus far eluded me. Really nice job.

Thanks, Tim and Jay, for the compliments. Tim - I really didn't know what I was doing particularly, I had the camera set to Tv because I wanted to keep the shutter speed up (mainly because of camera shake, along with subject movement consideration, too). I should have used TAv - I was lucky that I got as much in focus as I did, since these were taken at f4 - wide open for the A300. The second one isn't as good - the body is slightly OOF. It'll probably take me forever to take as good a picture, because now I'll start thinking about what I should have the camera set for.
