Here is the image I shot for the poster, the foreground was converted to black and white and the background light spot was stretched vertically for more dramatic effect. (original shot in RAW with a DS and 24-135mm Sigma).

Here is the "finished" poster (there may be changes in content but not design).

Any comments welcomed.

BTW I did fix the problem with the ticket price line:O

I saved the poster to be able to see it in PSE (I still use the default black background, I like it!).

Highest marks for a very tasteful poster design, Ira! And it's effective, I immediately associated the poster with theatre.

Thanks Kjell, I looked at some proposals for the last festival poster (2003 in Gander) and decided I could use an idea I saw, but take it a little farther. I like the result and I am glad to read that it is effective.

Very professional, Ira! I can see the "drama" through your capture.

Definitely effective. I really like it, especially how it lays out with the text.

Very nice Ira, that is a well chosen idea and well executed shot that suits the poster perfectly.
