What a beautiful bird - the coloring you captured in the second one is wonderful - different than the ones around here.

The second shot is a winner: rich in colour, nice composition, sharp and contrasty and an interesting subject. What more to ask from a picture?

And the blurring of the wings in contrast to the sharpness of the head and feet is an added plus. Well done.

sorry it has talen so long but thanks for the comments :)
the second photo i must admit was a pleasent surprise
the sharp head and feet with blurry wings of course is all skill on my part
knowing what settings and exactly when to press the shutter
honest lol
the lighring is partly due to the fact it was in a white tent
so kind of like a huge soft box for the sun
i couldnt get back there today, but the festival runs for another week yet
so maybe next weekend :)
thanks again for taking a look :)

I agree with the other comments, that second shot is something unusually neat, even if it was a lucky shot. 3/4s of luck is being there with a camera in the first place anyhow.

Very nice soft box effect with the lack of shadows and great color.
