After a few day...the flowers suffer, as myself..., from the extensively hot days, so here a example of how badly are the flowers today!

Welcome Alex...I too love my Kit lens. It is quite capable of fantastic macros and very good landscapes. I really have never understood why some folks put it down. Great photos you have posted here. Look forward to many more.

Excellent shots. Very clean. Can you post some details of the flash used? Is it compatible without an adapter on the k10d? I can't afford a modern flash so this is of interest to me.
These shots prove how nice the kit lens is. They are very sharp and detailed! |

My dear Gazander,
OK...you ask abouth my use flash...specifically mine is a vintage Sunpak AF 433, which originally came with Nikon contacts...I take out all the Unnecessary contacts leaving alone the centrally & side only...so NOW I named an a "Widely Universally One", so specifically with my Pentax K10D I set at red "X" setting (1/180seg), shutter speed the flash at "Auto" always at 200 ISO camera & flash rear scale setting middle setting on the flash is F:5,6...but for such close range flowers photos at that 'Wide Open" 5,6 was TO much light so was needed to make a few shoots...(Viva Digital images...so can saw right after that you shoot...with films...it's impossible at all...! ![]() So I was needed to close the F stop at the camera...till I was 100% satisfied.... To my knowledge today the same flash "Universally" one from Sunpak...is the currently in production & cost in US around $:70.00>80.00 depends where:!: is the 388 one, if I recall 100% well I'm speaking on a brand new one..., try look at B & H/Adorama/Ritz, etc...for newer or used, much olds one from eBay source...sorry don't know:? Below i find an a old photo which will show you how it's looks!, BTW...the 388 looks 99% similarly! ![]() Hope that I help you well:G Peace, Alex 007:| |

What's to criticize? Only thing wrong is those apples aren't on a table in front of me - I haven't had breakfast yet and they look like I could almost reach into my computer and grab one.
