I posted this on the end of the other challenge but then I thought better do this right.
The Challenge for February will be "Glass". This is open to a wide range of interpretations so have fun figuring out something cool. ![]() Standard rules, 90 day limit and need to be taken with a Pentax camera, no larger than 800 pixels on the larger side, one submittal per person but you can change it during the month if you like. Just edit your original post. Thanks again for the other Challenge! Dennis |

Another great topic! I'm going to have great fun coming up with pictures for this - none of what I'm thinking about fall into my usual type of photography, but I'm going to have a great time taking pictures for this.

I like this, Ira. The out of focus lighting in the backround is very nice!

Ira - I really like this, too. The background colors fit with the bottle subject very well - makes me think of comfortable pubs.
I've got several ideas - one of them will require being home when the sun is out (that means the weekend), but another one I might try today at lunch. If nothing else, there's one picture that I took last month for the reflections subject that would fit this one, too, that I could submit. But I don't want to - some of my thoughts for this topic fall into areas where I'm not very good at (still lifes) and I want to use this for practice. One of the things I like about these is that the topics push me in new directions, either looking at something differently (like the tall buildings for their reflections) or trying my hand at different types of photography. |

Nice one Ira - I'll drink to that. You've also now convinced me to get an FA 50mm 1.4. I was concerned with softness wide open, but your shot at 1.4 is plenty sharp enough for me.
Maybe I can enter a picture of a lens - that would qualify wouldn't it?This is my SMC-A 50mm F2. Dual purpose photo - First my entry for the February challenge, and secondly for my auction listing when I get the FA 50mm f1.4. (Blades are snappy and dry) I'mwithdrawing this entry asI feel out "glassed" by the other's that are being posted. But I'm going to keep trying. |

Neat picture - it would have been interesting for last month's challenge, too.
