This is the weekend of our annual Fiesta Days. I took a monopod this time and wish (once again) that I had taken a tripod instead - the quality isn't as good as I would have liked. I'm beginning to think that a good tripod and head might make a good Christmas present. I just need to find an appropriate blend of size/weight and sturdiness for me and bite the bullet when it comes to price.
You wonder why this lady is propped up on the fence? |

As you can see,I was playing with shutter speed and motion last night. As a final one, I just liked the colors of the tent, and thought the lighting was nice. Nothing fun or all that interesting.

Hey, that's what I call motion blur! Not only fun for those who goes for a ride but also for you and us. Love the tent in all it's colourful simplicity. Nearly like an abstract painting.

![]() Hmmm… first two remind me of the time many years ago, when I was a teen. I was standing near the guard rail of the "Tilt a whirl" waiting for the ride to stop when someone pushed me into the ride as it was coming down. It hit me on the head and knocked me out! Next thing I Knew, I was waking up with a crowd of people standing over me. They took me to the hospital in an ambulance and stitched up my head… I tried telling them not to worry about the stitches; there wasn't anything in there to fall out! You got some really good ones Harriet. ![]() Thanks for the memories! You just reminded me today was a local town's annual event with rides, hot air balloons, etc. I'd meant to go over there. Oh, well. It rained most of the day anyway.
These are really cool. I really like the all three in motion one. And, I know what you mean about the tent. The kind of thing I'd photograph and my husband would wonder what I was doing. Patty p.s. John - sorry to hear about your little fiasco. Hmmm, sounds like you have been like Alex for many years! :blah: |

Those are great, it is always fun to play with settings just to see how they come out. The tent colors are very nice, I like the visual effect.
