we finally had a good sunday yesterday. The whole summer here has been very mediocre, so a bright autumn day really charged the batteries again
![]() Of course my camera almost dragged me out to go shooting ![]() I'm very pleased with this seemingly cheap zoom, the pentax-A 35-135mm. I expected only average results, but at f8 it's really nice and sharp! (The vignetting in some shots was added in post-processing) Some playing with composition: ![]() ![]() ![]() I call this one "Birdwatching" ![]() ![]() This couple has at least 1 thing in common...their love for reading! ![]() I have more, but will put them periodically on my blog. It was a really good day, I have about 2 weeks worth of keepers ![]() ![]() Tom |

Love this series. I liked the third one the best when I went through them the first time, but your birdwatcher is a wonderful capture. I just like all of them!

Black and White and European street scenes to boot.... I really like the entire series. Here in the US you really do not see street scenes like this - the open air market, people sitting around reading and watching the world go by. Really nice subject matter. The coblestones and piegon is a nice touch!
... just as an aside, I really like the last one, with the reading - this month's contest is transportation - and for some reason just looking at the folks - they are being transported to where ever or when ever the story is... |

Citylife at its best, and your playful composition catches the essence of it. Well done, Tom!

Lovely shots . I like the European way for people mingling and interacting. In N Am, we have to drive to reach the community - well a mall. In Europe you walk over to one of thousand little squares with a lot of cafes and little store. Apparently you have days of lousy weather and a break is the time people come out and enjoy simple sunlight and fresh air Thanks for sharing Daniel, Toronto |

Very nice Tom, the black and white suits these shots perfectly.

You B&W street shots are always a lot of fun to look at! Great shots and I really like how your black and white conversions turn out. Care to post your process?
