Something interesting happened to me today...someone contacted me to buy one of my photos!

I got a email from the man in the picture (he was the actual firespitter), saying he wanted to have a print of the photo, and asked what my prices were.

I had to reply that I was far from a professional of course, and that I didn't have any prices

I sent him the high resolution file, so he could have it printed as he pleased, and told him it was free of charge

He insisted though and wanted to pay me something, and he'll leave me something on my bank account.

So basicly I've sold my first photo ever! I'm pretty flattered about this:?

Here's the pic he wanted:

I guess he did want a copy of that shot. What a great way to advertise your thing if it happens to be breathing fire. You really caught the fire at it's peek intensity from the look of the picture. Well done shot. I bet the color version is pretty spiffy also. Congrats on the sale.

Congrats, Tom! Now I don't have to feel embarrassed when you buy me a beer, when it happens that I come to Gent. You can afford it.:blah:

How did he find your photo?

I can see why he wanted it, that's an amazing shot! I don't think any 'pro' could have made a better exposure.

Simply superb shot!
Now you just have to work out whether to continue selling the digital negatives, or only selling prints, and then cost things out accordingly.
I hope you sell many more!

That is a pretty amazing photo - congratulations.

The tilt of thepicture away from the verticallends a sense of spontaneity to the shot - was it taken with that orientation, or did you rotate the image in pp? In either case it is a nice touch, and itadds impact to the photo.
