I didn't know the FA* 300 was a 3D lens ?
What a standout shot. |

You're right Rodney, it looks like the butterfly and her bloom are jumping right out of the screen

Wonderful shot! The Pentax 300mm lenses can give you that feel on occasion (I've seen it with the A*300 once in a while). I think the FA version focuses closer than the A version, doesn't it?

I no longer have an A version of the lens, but the FA* focus at 6 feet which isn't very close. I just like the lens, it is light and sharp, which makes it easy to hand hold especially with SR.

Nope, there won't be any lens buying from my side for quite a while. No, not, nicht, non. Negative. Won't happen. I don't need it. Absolutely not. Nonono.
But I want... Don't post this kind of photos, Tom! (Well, actually, do, it's a wonderful photo.) Kjell |

I don't think you could get any better than that!
I haven't even seen a monarch to take a picture of this summer. Jim |

The FA does focus a bit closer - the A is 11 feet, I think.

Hey, beats the heck out of my Pentax 500mm M42 4.5 that focuses at 30 feet.
