One of the benefits of working at a college or university is that there's always something going on. I rarely shoot events as I tend to be a "stuff 'n things" kinda guy. When I heard about this recital, I volunteered to shoot it for the experience. I've never shot in a concert environment before so this was all new to me. The recital took place in a very quiet (and beautiful) chapel. I didn't know exactly what to expect, but I did my best to capture these two very talented musicians.

Luckily, I was able to get there a little early to catch them warming up. I was able to do a quick check of the lighting and snap a few pics of them before it started. Most of these were shot with the FA50 and Sigma 17-70. And, of course I just had to find a way to sneak the DA10-17 FE in there too... :-)

What delightful shots! I think you did very well, especially for a first time (I've never tried something like this). Your last one is a wonderful angle, and an excellent use of a fisheye for something both pleasing and creative. I can see why so many really like that Sigma.
