This may not be new to some people but it came as a pleasant surprise to me.

I took a series of shots yesterday with my K10D and dutifully put the focal length in each time I used and old manul lens.

When it came time for editing there they were, all the focal lengths I had put in when taking the shots. Of course this normally happens automaticall when using a modern lens.

It was handy as I used a number of different old lenses and it made sorting out which one took each picture much easier.

I know this is from the Tamron SP 28-80 at full extension

That's a neat shot! I've also found the K10's reporting of the focal lengh very useful - as long as I remember to change the focal length...
