Caught this little guy running down a very steep hill, very fast! Didn't have a chance to change anything so panned the shot and hoped for the best. The kid loved how it turned out, so I thought I would share. C&C Welcomed!

I like it! I find panning one of the harder skills to master.
What exposure did you use? |

I can see why the boy loved it - it is full of motion and excitement.

He must have really been moving or you used a really slow shutter. Pretty neat.
I take a bunch of airshow pictures (about 4 gig this weekend). In doing so panning with the planes as they move is required. I have tried it both with SR on and off. I do not see any improvement or issue no matter which way I do it. Doesn't the manual say to turn it off when panning? Anyone else have better luck with it on or off? |

The manual on the K100d says to turn it off, I don't know about the K10 but I assume it is the same. I also did not notice any real difference doing panning with race cars, I had good shots and blurry shots both ways. Great shot Nick, having the face in focus and everything else blurred to a greater or lesser extent really works here. Tim |

Congrats!
Did you get that instantaneous YES!-feeling when you just had pressed the shutter button? I sometimes do, and don't always get dissappointed when I check the result at home. Kjell |
