Considering the only picture I've ever managed of a grebe is a head sticking out of the water but no body, and that only a tiny spot in a lake, I think these are cool shots.

Excellent timing on these shots Ronny. They make me think of the "Circle of Life" song in the Lion King movie .

Those are nice, don't you just hate it when they won't come any closer no matter how long you sit there?

      Hi Ronny,

Nice Captures! Those fish look pretty fat, so I'm guessing the Grebes were happy with their haul.

      Thanks Kjell,

but ... it's not that I only took 2 shoots, these are the best ones in a series of 80+

      Thanks Harriet,

I had spotted them more than once but to far away(in a mote around one of the fortifications around antwerp build around 1890) . This time I had the luck that they were having to much luck fishing so they almost ignored me.

But they have been real difficult to get pictures from, and I'm still trying to get some real good shots.

      Thanks Tim

      Thanks Tom,

Sitting and waiting doesn't help and I took these during dinnerbreak a few km from where I work

      Thanks Glen,

2 perfect timings in a lot of ...

      Thanks Scott,

in the small hour I was there they caught 5 fish (3/2), the only problem is that those fish have small spikes in their fins, so they always have to be very carefull getting them down.
