Very nice shot Dennis, really sharp. The K100 really does well at the high ISOs.

Thanks Tim.
It also AF's extremely accurately. Notice nobody ever complains about the AF on the K100 series as far as accuracy goes. It isn't the speediest though. Dennis |

Very nice, take a bunch of shots now, they don't stay little and cute like that for long.

That's a beautiful find! The only time I've seen an owl "in the wild" was once at my sisters. I thought it was a plastic statue of a great grey owl that we had thrown out that afternoon and that my husband had put it on a post. All of a sudden, the "plastic" bird turned its head and looked at me. Was that a treat!

Thanks Rodney, Tom and Harriet for the kind words.
I know they lose their fuzz fairly fast. The parents are what I want to get some decent shots of. I got a few yesterday that weren't up to much. What was really cool is the actions of the resident red shouldered hawks not happy with the newcomers. They kept swoooping through the trees at the owls trying to disturb them, actually clipping branches around them as they wen't by. The owls just sat there kind of stoically. Dennis |
