Still only see chicks in Great Egret Nests. The first hatched are getting big and are a handfull for the adults. Adults not always in nest now (get mugged by chicks). Two of the nests with older chicks that had two chicks in each nest now have only one chick. Guess it is survival of the fittest (natural selection). Saw first Anhinga nest, most are too far back in the brush. Some were still working on nests.
