Thought I would share this... Went outside to snap a couple of the hummingbirds and caught this guy drinking from my feeder. C&C Welcome... as always, Enjoy!

Even with the 70-300mm, that is too close for comfort! Great shot.

Yeah, I was pretty close as these weren't cropped all that much. But this guy didn't care, he was very much pre-occupied!

Love the shot, but you wouldn't get me taking something like that - even with a 300mm lens!

Yeah... even with the 300mm in macro mode... It only gave me about 3ft of work space to get a 1:2 shot.

Really nice shots. This may be a dumb question but were these hand held shots? I'm just watching the forum, thinking about the K10D for my next camera.

Thanks guys...
Gumnut, If he's out there again, then I will definately try to snap some more. I love this lens. ![]() Dawg, I was always told to put bleach on any stings... haven't heard about chewing tobacco juice... that's kinda gross. LOL DonR, Yes all these shots were hand-held. I rarely use a tripod. |

Awesome shots, Nick. Makes me wonder if I should have gotten the Sigma instead of the Tamron.
