Dawg,
I like what you did with the B/W version. If you don't mind a question, other than converting to B/W what post processing did you do on it? Also, you took it with a50mm F2 M; I have a 50mm F2 A - should I be able to get the same IQ with the A version? This is my first manual focus lens and I'm struggling a bit to get the focus correct, especially at F2 - 2.8 where DOF is narrow. Jim |

Yes you should be able to get the same but you should be able to get a better look at the focus at f/8 and higher. Yours is the same but it will automatically set the f/stop for you from your selection in camera when you use the A setting on the lens. This allows the lens to stay wide open for focusing and then the camera stops it down as the shutter button is depressed. With my M lens I set the F/stop then focus all manually. You can set the Focus and then step it down but it may be out of focus when you shoot that way...Suffice it to say yes you can and even easier than I can!! LOL As for Post processing...I used Photoshop to convert and sharpen...Then I used Virtual Photographer to dress it up a little and the Nik Color efex Pro to do a pro contrast of it. Virtual Photographer is a plugin for photoshop found at... http://www.optikvervelabs.com/ Dawg |

Great B&W. It really adds to the overall punch of the picture. Nice.
