Being a newbie, I think some Irish members can enlighten us about these cool dance. Got this just a couple of hours ago in Unionville of Toronto. They had some kind of Irish festival that went on. I love their outfit but I was specifically forewarned about not taking pict while they were dancing. Well it was not bright enough anyway with bare hockey arena light .
It seems all the Irish community in Toronto were there ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Daniel p.s. first time I use the photobrowser 2.1.2 (ancient verion?) . I do not see any advantage of using raw at all. I used it because of the crasy WB. |

Ay, some lovely little Lassies!
![]() Nice shots Daniel. I'm not sure why they ask you not to take pics while they were dancing, unless they thought it might distract them while performing. |

What wonderful kids - they look so serious. It does look like it would be just about impossible to get decent pictures of them while they are dancing, in that light. I noticed you used the DA*200 - looks like a good focal length for these types of pictures. Looks like it might do well for hockey, too?

Nice photos Daniel, especially considering the arena lighting.
I also really like that last one. Great detail in the bows, and her blue eyes really stand out. I can't imagine the work it took to get those little girls hair in all those curls! |

Glenn, Rodney, Harriet, Goldwinger,
Thanks for taking time to comment RedStickMan wrote: Quote:
It must be a very old and disciplined art form and nowadays the youngsters hardly cope with such serious show with attention to all the details. Look at the image how they pose (uniform socks, shoes, hairdo.....) to wait for their turn to dance. Is there any Irish Pentax forum member who can englighten us? Daniel |
