Ah, what a cutie! You are nice to host not only human but bird families, too.

I actually shot this photo about a week ago for the Pathways challenge in the Bi-weekly challenge forum, but the more I read what Harriet had in mind for this challenge, the more appropriate I thought it because it encompasses so many things that make living in the Ouachita Mountains special to me--elevation, water, rocks, trees, and lots and lots of green. I wish I could say it's in my yard, but is from a botanical garden a couple of miles a way.

I keep thinking about this and can't decide what to post. This was taken today while out looking for "pathways" for the biweekly challenge. I have some other ideas I'll try out this weekend.
Patty I'm changing my photo. Haven't had a chance to get what I wanted, but this one reminds me more of "home". Had been hoping to find something more "New England". |

Well, we certainly are getting a varied selection so far. Both Paul's and Patty's scenes look so cool and it's so hot out here at the moment - wish I could be there. And Brian's sea gull is very impressive (amazing how many birders we have here!). Hopefully I'll be able to take something worthy this weekend.

You talking about my gull shot or Brians
![]() I'm no birder :Gbut i like shooting big birds like gulls, crows, and what ever happens my way. Don't have the gear to shoot the smaller types. I like scenery the best, It doesn't run or fly away. Mike |

Sorry, Mike - I was referring to your's. It's been a long week, and it's continuing to be lousy. It looks like any picture of mine is going to have to wait - I suddenly had to leave town yesterday (family problem, not evacuation thank heavens). I left with my computer but not the external drive where I have my photos.
Don - your wood duck is just precious! |

I was just fooling :G
Sorry to hear of your trouble. One thing i've learned is an old subject can be shot in a whole new light, so who knows where and when your local pic may appear. :-) I don't know why I posted the pic, I'm not really into forums unless I need info. Mike |
