Here is my entry (with a short history lesson thrown in at no charge!). This is the Roebling Suspension Bridge that spans the Ohio River between Covington, KY and Cincinnati, OH. Itwas the first bridge to span the Ohio River connectingOhio and Kentucky. Named after it's designerJohn Augustus Roebling, the bridge was open on Jan 1, 1867. It's biggest claim-to-fame is that it served as a prototype for NY's Brooklyn Bridge (also a Roebling bridge). It's a beautiful piece of architecture (IMHO) and thought it worthy of sharing.
Picture taken with my trusty DL + kit lens (with polarizing filter), tripod mounted. Jay ![]() |

Wonderful use of light, Jay. Did you use a polarizer? I really love this shot! The bridge is interesting, especially with the little bit of history thown in.

That's a neat picture - I like the use of b&w. The other thing that I like about this picture is that it isn't full of people, just a few and with the b&w, it feels likean old picture. It seems likewherever I go outside the mountains, there's always a mass of people filling all the open space around.

thank you
![]() I was lucky there were such nice puffy clouds in the sky... This is actually the largest square in Gent (it's about twice as long as you see in the pic, with the church in the middle) It's a nice place to have lunch or so, or like Harriet noted, if you want to get away from the crowds ![]() Tom |

Hi,
This is my meger entry. It is not perfect. I hope that some may like it. This all that is left. the house that was attached to it burned and was torn down. You can still see the marks where the house was attached. Rudy |
