Havingconsidered a polarizer for quite a while, I finally took the plunge inspired by Harriet'srecent post: )
So far, judging from the two boring handheld1600 iso kitchen windowshots below,at least, it looks promising formuseum shots. Now, can't wait totry itoutdoors! (The exifs are embedded) #1 w/o |

I haven't tried it in a museum, a good idea. Mine is great fun outdoors.

Looks like it is doing the job...Works good in aquariums too! Or even in the reptile house at the zoo!

Good comparison, museum shots are a good idea, but the two stop difference in shutter speed might be too much unless you have a tripod. My polarizers are the only filters that get mounted regularly.

Btw, as seen in the nasty web cam shot below, the slim 72mm filter complements with the lens hood flawlessly, whichI think, would provide some furtheradvantages foroutdoor shots ![]() |

Since most museums won't allow the tripod, I'll have to rely on the SR + my calm hands which allow me to go as slow as 1/2'' ; ) Btw, I guess my next filter would be a 2 or 3stop split ND filter for landscapes. You might also have triedit, I suppose : ) |
