I just leave it off, unless I need it. I've only had so-so results - it shook off one dust spot but not another, and that one came off with just a hand blower.

My first dSLR was a DS and I learned how to change lenses using a two handed method where one lens goes on as I take the other lens off, and I'm careful to face downwind. I had such little problem with either the DS or the K100 (and when they do get dust on them, it's always come off with a hand air blower) so I just don't worry about it one way or the other (the dust removal system had very little to do with my buying the K10).
