I wasn't going to post any of this series - the sunset was very pretty, but the pictures (while colorful) aren't anything special. When I decided to use one for this month's challenge (and I may change it later) I had several that I liked, so thought I'd start a thread for sunsets and sunrises. Feel free to add any of your own.

The sky was a rather strange color at one point. This is looking east, and the brownish-orange color might have been from smoke from a very distant brush fire (at least 50 miles away).

Finally, the light fades to red, before disappearing all-together.
Have a good evening, everyone. |

These are quite interesting, Harriet. The first one seems as though there is a lightbulb behind the clouds.
Patty Here's one I took a while ago. It's a little blown out, but I though it was intriguing. |

Really nice shots from both you ladies. This one was taken Christmas Day from a moving car. I was bored while my son was driving and snapped a few through the car window, not really expecting to get anything I liked.

Shooting sunrises and sunsets out of a moving car - I've done that fairly often, and it's surprising that some actually do work reasonably well. Yours is nice.
Patty - interesting clouds, I can see why you like it so much. |
