I may change this later on, but thought I'd post this one I took today at the botanical gardens. It's a cherry tree of some variety, and I'll probably post a couple of others from today in another thread. It may be just me and my mood, but I wasn't really happy with any of them. I'm not REALLY trying to rub salt into the wounds of those of you in the northern climates, just trying to take advantage of what's near my office. I'll try another spot tomorrow.
Edited - I've deleted the cherry blossoms and am posting another picture. |

I prefer to use a digital focal length of 19mm for tree pix but when I was out on Friday 29 February 2008 only had a Tamron 70-300mm on Pentax K10D.

I took a couple of pictures of the same type of tree in January, with similar lack of leaves. It didn't come out as nicely as yours did, though - I really like yours. That same tree is now well leafed out, and not half as interesting.
Mark - I really like your b&w grave scene - very nicely done. Ian - Your Rata is certainly colorful - you have some really interesting trees. |
