I found this lone tree while driving around central Manitoba this past Feb. It was about -30C and windy, so I wasn't out of the car for very long.
Driver3 - love the trees and barn, that is what I was looking for! |

The tree was a Pine tree, you are actually looking at what was the root structure that was underground. Not as large as it looks in the picture, taken with DA 10-17mm fisheye.
