While in Ottawa last week I saw a performance of this modern dance group, quite aptly called The Rubberbandance Group. A most interesting group. If you ever have the chance to see them at a live performance, I really suggest that you do. Simply an amazing performance.
This is my first attempt at this type of action photography with the K 100 D, but so far, I'm quite impressed with these results shot at 3200 ISO, post processed in Picasa and filtered through Noiseware Any comments......... ![]() ![]() |

Both are nice, but I really like the second one. Maybe I should re-visit ISO 3200 with the K100 - these cleaned up very nicely.

Thanks Harriet. The room that these were shot in had fairly dark colored lighting and a lot of action on stage to go with it. ISO 3200 seemed to do the trick, and Noiseware, combined with a bit of cleaning up in Picasa produced some nice results for me. I'm quite pleased, to say the least.

What were the other camera setting for those shots? What mode, f-stop, shutter speed?

wow, tough lighting!!
Noise performance looks pretty good. For the second shot I would recommend tighter framing in-camera. The background really doesn't add much to the photo so the subject is the performers. At these ISO levels you wont be able to crop down that much and retain detail so it needs to be done in-camera. |

Motion shots in dim lighting are about as tough a photography subject as you can find (well, except for children's portraits anyhow). You did a good job with these.
