Great series and a wonderfull find. Keep up the good work. These are some very secretive birds so it is nice to see them nesting and raising their young.

bruce, Green Backed Herons and 40-50 feet over a body of water.
rick, they are fairly skittish but they've been around me for years. not that we are friends but they know i offer no harm. the other day i was sitting in the chair where i take these and a squirrel came up on me to the left in a tree. he stopped and looked at me and i clicked my tongue and he passed over me. i could have touched him easily as he went over my head. no pix, he was too close. the hardest part of the heron pix is the waiting.. hope you all are enjoying these as much as i am taking them< roy |

wife and i were talking and i think i'm going to make a book of this series when it's over.. sounds like a nice holiday gift also.
