Took this with my K10D and kit lens when it was brand new. My first digital camera, and my second SLR. My first was a 1969 Spotmatic.
Take a look at the rest of the gallery at pbase. Comments are welcome. http://www.pbase.com/dawsonjm/image/86166254 John |

John, really nice shots. 369 and 440 were my favorites. Lighting was excellent on both. It might make them a bit more interesting to have the subject off center some, but that is just IMHO. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. You have a good eye for it.

Thanks for your comments Glenn.
I am going to try to replace those images with larger copies when I get home in the morning. My first gallery images were too big, and now these are not big enough. I am also going to try again to get an image or two into the post so that you don't have to chase a link to see them. I'm not sure I know how, but will try. John |

I have increased the size of the images at pbase. They are much easier to see now.
Enjoy! John |

I deleted the originals when I uploaded the new images. Here is a new link. John http://www.pbase.com/dawsonjm/monument_valley |

Hi John,
Much better! Very nice! I love this kind of shot, but living around Chicago doesn't provide much opportunity. . .:-) . . . I guess that's why I shoot birds -- if I shot landscapes, they'd be an assortment of trees on the flat horizon -- if I could find a shot without buildings or telephone/power poles and lines. . . If I shoot people, they either think I'm a cop, a pervert, or somebody looking to somehow embarass them on the internet. If I shoot architecture, they think I'm a terrorist or a master thief scoping out a future job. The birds, squirrels, and frogs don't care. . . and if they do -- well, it's just too bad. :-) Scott |

The larger size really helps - these are lovely pictures. Another place I want to visit - it looks so fascinating!
