A couple of more experiments from this weekend. I was trying to use a flash wirelessly to give me a strong light for silhouettes. It was interesting, after spending quite a bit of time trying to get soft light, to now want really hard light. I finally decided that to get the light where I really wanted it, would take a cable - there was often just enough ambient light for the flash not to go off.

This second one was also not quite successful as a silhouette. But I thought it was interesting anyway. It always amazes me how much fun it is to photograph such a humble flower.
