Never regret buying anything as beautiful as that lens!
I have just managed to get a new FA 50/1.4, and it is wonderfully made, with such outstanding picture quality, and I know what the 43mm Ltd feels like. Sublime, but unaffordable for me ATM.
So just enjoy

Just got one of those, and having the AF is nice and with 1.4 remarkably snappy and accurate in very low light, but initial impression is I think my old A 50/1.4 gives the better image... that feeling may change or at least even when I use it more.

Oh and congrats Gazander hope you find the 43mm L worth the investment.... certainly never hear anything bad on that one, other than being a tad slow for the FL... of course that insures best image, vs faster just for speed, and lesser images below 1.9.

And where I use 1.4 50mm most.... wide open low light needing the shutter speed in lieu of higher ISO....and where I am noticing the difference in the A and FA 1.4.
