Mine was shot with a M42 screw mount 500mm lens I bought in 1969 when I was in South East Asia. You have to love how Pentax has allowed us to use almost any lens they ever made with their new DSLR's.

Bah. This kit lens just doesn't hack it for astrophotography (duh). Time to drag out the telescope and prime focus adapter.
Wish my FD 300mm f/4 was adaptable.....*sniff* K10D with 18-55mm @ 55. Spot metered, Hyper-program f/8 @ 1/80 sec. -2 EV, SR on, hand-held, two clicks of sharpening and cropped in Picasa. |

Well I tried my hand. It finally dawned on me that I needed to use spot metering - duh. Not the best 300mm lens around, but it captured the image. Hand held.
