Hi Walter,
I've admired your photos on DPR and the Pentax Gallery. I'm sure that your images will be very much appreciated here and will set the bar very high for the rest of us to try to emulate. Welcome to the forum. Scott |

Thank you all for the warm welcome
![]() @Roy :?you cannot do anything with theseagaric shroom ![]() About howthe KFact I can say a lot or a little :-)These European Kingfishers are very difficult to get close to and you have to sit for hours in a bird hide . Sometimes you don't see him and suddenly he is there for some seconds! Other days after hours waiting he is going to clean himself and catch some fish and is sitting there for arround 10 minits and will be then away for hours.. So for making these kind of shots you must invest hours (many ![]() @ mlcinema, I am working with the K10D since it was available (I guess arroun dbegin december last year) and before that with the K100D.Since some weeks I work with a new Sigma APO 500mm F/4.5 AF (bought as old stock)and I also used the Pentax A * SMC 600mm F/5.6 ED IF. Here a shot made with the Pentax 600: ![]() Th bird shots are shot with the telelens and the closups with the Voightlander SL 125mm. regards Walter |

Wow - these are really awesome! Every time I see pictures taken with the Pentax 600, I get lens envy. You aren't helping me out at all... On the other hand, post more so I can enjoy them.
