Sweet! It brings K20D below $1,000. Kind of dissapointed in rebate for lenses thou.
I wanted to upgrade to DA 35mm F2.8 Macro. |

agreed, wish they would have listed a few more lenses than the 3 they did. i was hoping to see a rebate for the da 12-24, but no luck.

Thanks for posting this. I have been waiting for a new rebate and hoping it would include the FA limited series again. Oh well, another opportunity lost . . .
Of course, since my wife says we need new windows, a new washer and dryer, and solartube skylights it was probably all a pipe dream anyhow. Tim |

Also of importance to note is the rebate requires the purchase of a K200D or a K20D body.

The rebate is making me think very seriously about taking the Pentax dSLR plunge from my trusty ole K1000.
Does anyone have any idea why the K200D is listing for much less on Amazon than the K10D and K100D? They're both listed as high as $949.99 newwith the kit lens, while the K200D is $689.00, also with the kit lens. |

While I don't know the workings of something like Amazon, I suspect that the reason the K10 and K100 are more is that they have been discontinued. Maybe someone who still has some stock is trying to cash in or something.
That's a really nice deal - buy the K20 and the DA*50-135 - what a great set-up and excellent savings. On the one had it would have been nice to wait a bit and save some money. On the other hand, I've been having a great time with the camera for a month now, which I would have missed. |

I too was somewhat waiting on the rebates, especially for the DA 12-24. I am hoping to acquire it soon before my Navy shipboard cruise for work. However, my wife keeps reminding me that we now have 2 sons in college (1 away and another probably going away to school) and potentially 3 households to support.
Unfortunately neither son is taking a photography class to help me out on my acquisition list - The Pentax Educational rebate. |
