Clouds often make photos more interesting!
This Months Challenge: Cloud Scapes Rules - pictures are to be taken in the last 90 days, the longest dimension is to be resized to 720 pixels to keep things equal and there's only one entry per person. If you post a picture early in the month, then take a better one later on, you can delete the first one (just edit your post and delete the attachment) and post the new one. As usual, the pictures are to be taken with a Pentax/Samsung dSLRcamera (any model). |

is a dust strom a cloud?? is mixing 2 liquids, one clear and the other not, a cloud?? when you have a bad(good, painful night) is the the way you wake up a cloud... sorry to throw a wrench in here but i've always been that way. an excellent choice.. i'd post some shots from the early '70s but theyed be out of date and way to cloudly. roy |

Well someone has to be first. Here is my favourite old shed against an interesting sky (Sept 07).

Good topic! I'm going to have to work at it - I think all of my more recent cloud pictures are older than 90 days.
Ira - interesting sky. |

I went back and took a look - this one was shot Aug. 31, so it comes in under the 90 day rule.

I cannot use my best sky shot since it was taken years ago with a Pentax P&S Optio 33L. You can see a small version ofit at http://aicphotography.tripod.com/. I think that would have fit well with Roy's idea or Harriet's great skyline shot. Maybe I will find something interesting before the month is over.
Great shot Harriet. Ira |

Well....
This isn't my best one, but it's the one that fits the time frame of the Challenge ![]() |

Ira - I remember looking at that shot before, it sure is an awesome shot! I was more or less in the same boat, the picture that I would have loved to have submitted was taken last year of an impressive thunderhead. It would have fit the theme better than the one I posted above.
Oh well, like you I'm going to keep looking this month and will perhaps replace mine with something more current. I just prefer to use the month's theme as a challenge to myself to see what I can take that month, rather than doing what I did here, which is to glance back over the last couple of month's photographs and pick one that fits the theme. It's my way of looking at it - as a challenge to stretch my abilities as a photographer. |
