I have a K110d and was just wondering if it's possible to use off camera flashes/ studio lights with it? The wireless type, and if so, what is recommended?
Thanks, any product links would be great! |

Assuming that area similar to K10D, Yes but requires a rather expensive (and not very long) cable...or an external flash and a wireless (flash sensing, PTTL preflash aware) slave.

You'll always be able to use digital slaves (make sure they're digital, the older slave flashes do not detect the "pre-flash")
If you want to sync them though, Pentax does not support wireless operation yet I think (though I might be wrong). So you'll have to use cables. Also you'll need a hot-shoe -> PC-sync socket adapter I think, since the camera has no built in PC-sync connector there's an extensive thread about it here: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...mp;forum_id=80 Tom |

Though if you have a preflash aware flash sensing slave on the 100's should still work. Only toyed with that on my Promaster 7000m but its slave function seemed to work without actually being in wireless mode on my 10D. Again though not enough experimenting to say it was 100% reliable. (May have just been a factor of shutter speed) Otherwise on the 100's so far shoe extention cable is the only sure option. |

I came across some wireless flash stuff on ebay. The one gizmo attaches to the camera and the other to your flash, I think it was $30ish, and said universal. Is that even possible?
I'll try to find the link. |
