I like all kind of candid shots. Spontaneity is the key.

I grabbed this shot the other day just on sunset on the island of Tulagi in the Solomon Islands.
The local kids are eating a nut called Lelita, inside the big green pieces is a seed similar to a peach seed. Inside that is a long nut that tastes like an almond, very nice. They just bash them with a rock or anything else that they can find. There were three huge Lelita trees outside where I was posted and the kids were knocking them out of the trees with sticks and rocks. Normally they fall out when they turn yellow and mature. These kids couldn't wait!! |
