Ira - Here isone more with the M50-F1.7. Taken at f1.7, this should help anyone wondering if this lens is any good wide open. You gotta love those old manual lenses- Bruce

Three photos the original first and then the crops. Taken with a Vivitar 300mm f/5.6 TX-M42 screw mount prime lens and a Sigma APO EX DG 1.4 Tele-converter. Image shot at F/8 - 1/180 - ISO 400.

A very good contrast of red and grey! Just loved it. The two red stripes in the background do the actual magic.... just pondering whether to take up bird photography because of this photo

Pentax 55mm f1.8, I forget what aperture this macro was taken at with extension tubes. It's a somewhat dead hyacinth, about 1/2" wide.
