If you look at the shot of the control panel you will see right below the bottom of the power switch it clearly says P-TTL and since the newer Pentax dSLR's don't do TTL one would have to assume that it works as one would expect with the K10D and K100D Super (which I believe was updated to P-TTL).

When I have a little more time I will play around with it some more. I don't use flash that often so I am not really sure the best way to provide test images that are useful to you. For me I take pictures not scientific tests. Any guide lines on testing?

Hi Daniel,

I think that you'll find that this new Promaster is indeed P-TTL compatible with the K series bodies unlike the former models. I'm not sure if it has wireless capability with the K10 popup flash as master/controller tho.

Another new one, and possibly the best of the alternatives is the new Metz 48 AF1 at @ $210 USD. It apparently has all the features of the Pentax FGZ flashes, is user firmware updateable via a USB port on the flash, and . . . it's a Metz.
