Sigma 10-20 portraits (My 1st try)
I am still trying to get used to this lens so I had a friend pose for a portrait shot. My first try at this kind of photo. I was trying to get a Bandito look. I bought the lens for landscape background photos for the wildlife shots. I decided OH Well instead of landscapes or wild animals it was time to try a living breathing people. ![]() ![]() ![]() TOTALLY WACKY roger |

Nice shot! Did you take it from 2 inches away from his face because I know you can do that at 10mm!
 I have that same lens but I never thought about using it for portraits. Excellent lens by the way. |

Nice, unususal use of an ultra-wide. The sepia version works best for me. I'm not sure who had the most fun, you or the model?

Roger....nice :| . Your friend looks like one tough Southwestern Hombre. You can now add portraits to your list of accomplishments with the K10D.

Hey Roger
Really like the color shot!! What's your friend holding in his left hand??.. A cut-down H & R Topper in .410, perhaps??.. Bruce |

Good work from both you and the lens Roger. My preference is the color version but the sepia works really well for the subject.

Hi Roger,
I really like this shot! Thinking outside the box is always good -- thanks for illustrating this for me. . . I would have never thought to shoot this with a very wide angle FL. The sepia is my favorite, but even that doesn't give it the atmosphere I think it deserves Hope you don't mind my playing a little -- but this is the way I envisioned this portrait when I first saw it: ![]() (if you don't like it, just say the word and I'll delete it. . . but I couldn't help myself. . .:-)) Scott |

Roger
great result from a wideangel I wouldn't have expected it from. as Scott said. Quote:
Would have gone more for something like the below version. (only nitpicking) Great shot - Ronny |
