I liked the look the one was giving me.."I am gonna enjoy having salad in YOUR garden next year!"...

I can never get close enough to the deer around here for a capture, those two are just gorgeous. The final image of the sunset behind the grasses, though, steals the series for me. Instantly puts the viewer at ease.

Great shots, we have no deer here (just moose and caribou, moose are often spotted but caribou stay on the "barrens") and squirrels are relative newcomers so they are not seen much near people yet. Beautiful light for these shots as well.

Love the light in the second squirrel shot. All of these are really wonderful - I've seen deer recently when I've been going from one place to another, but never when I've had the camera handy (sigh). It's not as easy as taking pictures of deer in Yosemite, where they are used to having people around.

Thankyou, everyone for the nice comments!..The deer are crazy thick here in my town..sometimes in the winter I have to chase them out of my carport with a broom handle..lol.And a fence is a definte necessity if you plan on having any kind of garden.Altho they are a pain if you have a yard..the chance of taking pics of them kind of makes up for it.I wish I would have been able to catch these guys when they were bouncing little gaffers..they were sooo cute.We would always see them in the morning when we would head out of town..but of course..Mom would get them in the bush before the camera came out...As for the the little chipmunk..it was early evening and the sun was getting low and happened to be shining just thru the right gap in the trees to brighten up my little rodent friend..:-)

really nice lisa. looking at the exif and i see you are mainly shooting wide open. if you could get the lens to f8 you might be in for a surprise. don't get me wrong, these are all very nice. second one needs a wall.
