With two forum members from Gander, Newfoundlandcontinuously talking about the winter that has just gone by (and it was probably the longest and worst one we've ever had) I couldn't resist the chance to show you the first real signs of Spring that finally appeared here.
Fortunately, most of the huge amount of snow that we had this winter is gone, and finally, my wife's flower garden is finally showing flowers (Trust me, it's my wife's garden...I am the world's worst at this sort of thing) These represent, by the way,my first attempts at flower closeups with the K100D Enjoy Brian ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Flowers are both frustrating and fun - love the second two. And it's great to hear that spring is finallyarriving up there.

My first sign of spring, I just laid out the patio furniture, now I just have to wait for another warm day to use it. Great shots Brian, Some of my best flower shots (of which there, admittedly, are few) were taken with longer zooms, including that Takumar F that you are using.
